Your Neurotoxins Treatment Plan
Schedule your Botox or Dysport appointment at least two weeks before a special event. This allows any redness, swelling, or bruising to subside and gives your injections time to fully set in.
To minimize bruising or bleeding, we recommend discontinuing aspirin, NSAIDs, gingko biloba, garlic, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, flax oil, cod liver oil, vitamin A, vitamin E, or other essential fatty acids at least three days to one week before and after treatment. Always consult your primary physician before stopping any prescribed medications.
Starting arnica supplements at least two days prior to injections may help reduce bruising.
You may not have an active rash in the area being treated.
Botox and Dysport treatments are not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
