• For melasma, pigment concerns or texture concerns, 3-4 Moxi laser treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart are recommended for best results

Your Moxi Treatment Plan
Schedule your Moxi appointment at least two weeks before a special event. Redness, swelling and peeling may be apparent in that time period.
Let your provider know if you have a history of cold sores. An antiviral may be prescribed.
You may not have an active rash in the area being treated.
Discontinue any photo-sensitizing medications or drugs (i.e. doxycycline, minocycline) at least 72 hours before Moxi laser treatment.
Minimize direct sun exposure for two weeks before treatment.
You’ll need to avoid Accutane for 12 months prior to treatment.
You’ll need to avoid IPL/BBL photofacials, laser treatments and waxing one week prior to treatment.
You may not be pregnant or breastfeeding.

After a few days, treated pigment will get darker and feel rough in texture (these are called mends, or microscopic epidermal necrotic debris). These will exfoliate off the face within one week and off the body within 1-2 weeks.
